My sis Jenny posted this on the family blog, and it made me laugh so much I had to share it too! I love my family SO much - and I miss them like crazy! 

Hey everyone! So tonight I was in my parent's room and Johnny walks into their bathroom to brush his teeth. He's getting his toothbrush "loaded", as he calls it, and he starts praying. He goes, "God, please let this toothpaste be good. Cause sometimes Daddy buys spicy kinds, and I don't really like them too much." Then he gets all excited and goes, "Woah, baby! This stuff is super delicious! God, you gotta try some!"  =)

Muscle Cars

I was reading a book about different types of cars during our "school time" the other day, and pointed to one and said "See that? That one's a muscle car!". John's face instantly lit up - "Hey! Just like me!! I'm a muscle car!" Then he proceeded to show off his arm muscles.
What a guy... I love him so much.

Megan and Jenny made these lovely wreaths for the guys to wear while out on a farm walk... and they kept them on!

I told Johnny and the cat to smile - this is what I got. Believe it or not, all the cats LOVE him!

I teach kindergarten to this little man twice a week. He tries to lock me inside the house so I can't go home, and says he's going to marry me someday.

The Evan bump is getting bigger all the time! I'm almost 7 months along.

Ah, yes. Eating a S'More. We're all excited that fall is almost here!

My Star Pupil

I have begun teaching kindergarten to Johnny twice a week! =) Boy, do we have fun!! He's such a great little man, and I can't wait (and I'm kinda scared) for baby Evan to get to know him. John talks to Evan inside my tummy all the time, and is very excited to be an uncle!

New School Year

A new school year is beginning! I still find it a little strange that I do not have to go back to school, and that this year will instead bring me a brand new baby boy. Still getting used to that concept!

But speaking of boys.... I am very excited that this school year I'll be going out to my parents' house twice a week to do schoolwork and games with my sweet little brothers, David & John! David already pretty much knows how to read, and Johnny is swift on his tail, ready to start his own education! :) It's great that he's so enthusiastic, because I'm a little out of practice on schooling my younger siblings. But I am really looking forward to spending some one-on-one time with my "baby" brothers!

I'll keep posting on our progress through the fall and will have many funny stories to tell, I'm sure.

Praise the Lord today for this nice weather we've been having!! Let Him know how much you appreciate His handiwork!

Summer Vacation!!

Well, tomorrow is the day. The Riefers and the Eldredges (me, Joel, and Evan) are heading out on a family vacation to Ohio! Our good friends the Snyders live there, and we have been wanting to visit them for quite a while now.... last time we saw them they came to our house, and that was what seems like forever ago.

Joel and I are very excited that we're getting to take a vacation before the baby comes, and my brothers and sisters are thrilled that we're all going together!! We should be home by next Monday. 

And now I'm off to town for some last minute shopping before we leave! We will take LOTS of pictures and I'm sure you'll want to check my blog as well as The Straight and Narrow Way (my sibs') next week. =)

We're all a bit crazy, and we sure do love each other to pieces! We're very excited about welcoming little Evan into the family... he doesn't know what he's in for!

Happy Father's Day

 I am very blessed to have a wonderful husband to be a father for our baby on the way! Joel is really good with kids, and is so excited that we will have our own little one before long!

And I am also very blessed with an amazing dad who raised me and who continues to be a great influence in my life! Daddy has always been a faithful, loving, fun leader of the family. =)

Missing...

... I miss my sweet family! They're vacationing in Branson, and while I'm extremely happy that they get this chance, I want to be right with them and share in the family adventures. If you haven't already checked out their blog, you need to! Meg has posted some really fun vaca pictures on there, along with cute stories of what they've been up to. =)

Clara is officially done with highschool!! She looked so pretty... I was thinking how Clara's like the only girl who could pull off looking good in a graduation cap. =)

Joshua also finished highschool this year!! Woohoo! And he's already been accepted into MS&T. We're all very proud of our Joshy... and I can't believe that he's all grown up! (Makes me feel old.)

Valentine's Day Party at Amy's

 Amy planned a Valentine's Day party for the grandkids on the Eldredge farm! She made these cute little cupcakes that were just delicious!

 She also made an adorable Valentine outfit for her baby girl!
I told Zoe to smile for a picture, and this was the expression I got. :-)

 The kids played a fun version of Hot Potato with gifts they had brought to exchange.
