Happy Thanksgiving, Y'all

It's a beautiful day, and we have so much to be grateful for! God is indeed good. 

Enjoy stuffing yourselves with the bounty your family has prepared, but don't forget those who have none... to those who have been given much, much is expected! Pray for those hurting from famine and disease in the Horn of Africa.

I am in love with Ryley's expression here! We visited Andy and Amy's a while back to help set up their Christmas tree. Didn't get much decorating done that day, but we sure had a good time together!

Pre-Christmas!

 We always have a really fun night where we set up our family's Christmas tree, snack on popcorn, egg nog, and other treats, and watch "It's a Wonderful Life"! This year (well, technically last year!) was the best yet, in my opinion. :) My new husband was there!!

 Johnny's big thing this year was dressing up in his "Santa suit"! What a little nut.

 And the little ham... :)

Christmas photos... sneek preview!

 All right, folks. I'm workin' on it, trust me! Every few days the thought will pop into my head that I fail as a blogger because I still haven't done a big Christmas post! You're all probably thinkin' "Golly, woman, get a move on! It's already January 4th!" But seriously, they will be posted soon - I promise. But I can't make any guarantees that it'll be before January 8th... so please, allow me a grace period.

Thanksgiving is Soon!

 Don't you love the Peanuts characters? They make holidays a little more fun, I think. :)

The Smith girls reminded me the other day that Thanksgiving is right around the corner! I can't believe that November is already here and we are into the holiday season!
As the end of this month approaches and we prepare to celebrate with our families, let's not forget to pray for children around the world who do not have their own families to spend the holidays with.
