Saturday on the Farm

Just wanted to let ya'll know that Joel's sheep herd count is up to 45! We spent the morning out in the pasture, vaccinating and worming the whole lot of 'em! =) Made for a nice start to our Saturday.
Joel is now out in the barn, "taking inventory" of our house building supplies! Hopefully we can head home soon, 'cause I'm feeling in desperate need of a good hot shower.

I am happy to report....

Happy Monday, Everyone!
I just got back from the doctor appointment (finally got to see MY doctor!) and thought ya'll might appreciate a little update. :) Thank you very much for your encouragement and prayers... where would we be without friends and family?! It's so good to feel loved!
So, I do have bronchitis... but it's not the type that is treated with antibiotics. Basically the last three weeks of "treatment" have been for nothing other than to kill off the good stuff that my body had to fight off this cold. :-( I do have a lot of allergy symptoms, so the doctor told me to start taking a generic form of Zyrtec (an over the counter allergy medicine). I'm also starting on Robitussin DM to help dry up all the mucus and keep me from coughing so much. And for my personal comfort, she also gave me a mild inhaler to ease my breathing at night! =) Hopefully I'll be feeling more like myself before long!
Joel is doing well. =) I just love him so much - he has been very patient while I've been sick! He's recently gotten excited about working out at the Centre, and puts me to shame when it comes to jogging. We definitely have fun going to the gym together! The past few weeks he's been doing a lot of house planning, and I think he's almost finished drawing up the official plans. He's so excited to move out to the farm! (I am too!!)
Also, I have to say that I am really loving this new job at Shadowood! :D I've worked three days so far, and there's not a thing I don't like. My favorite part? I get to bring my own dogs to work and give them baths for free!
Wow, that's all for now! I need to get a move on making dinner before Joel gets home. =) I absolutely love being married, by the way!

Doctor Visit!

I have a doctor appointment this afternoon! =) I'm not feeling good at all today.
Thankful for your prayers! Hopefully I'll be on the way to being over bronchitis real soon!!

Bronchitis - oh no!

Hey everyone,
I would really appreciate your prayers as I have been dealing with Bronchitis for three weeks now. I have been on two rounds of antibiotics, which helped some but just didn't kick it! The plan is to visit my doctor tomorrow afternoon and find out what to do next. I'm tired most of the time, as well as generally feeling "yucky". The chest heaviness and pain are hard to deal with while I'm at work, and it's really wearing me down!
Thanks for following the blog... I know it's been kind of boring lately. :( I haven't given it up, though - never fear!

the Burnese Mountain Dog

What a cute puppy!!

Their markings are very unique, making Burnese Mountain Dogs a distinct breed.

I think they're a very handsome dog. And from what I've read about the breed's temperament and personality, they make great family farm dogs! Joel and I are thinking about getting one someday.

I love this kitchen!!

The stove is my favorite part! I would just love to have one like that in my house. :) The ceiling and huge window are pretty amazing too! Somebody put a lot of work into this dream kitchen, I'd say.
