Yeah, well.... I got a vacuum cleaner!

I did. And it's white and has a lot of cool attachments for reaching into scary corners. If I ever find that cord I will have pictures to show off... someday. *sigh*
Love you all so much ~

It's Coming...

Well, I took some really good pictures of the dogs and the backyard the other day, but I can't find the right chord to upload them to my computer. So I will ask Joel when he comes home tonight if he has an idea as to where it is, and hopefully get them posted soon! Thanks for being patient. :)

Love,

Q's Adoption Banquet

Last night Joel and I attended a chili supper to raise support for the Quittschreiber's adoption fund. For those of you who don't know, they are in the process (very close!) of adopting siblings, Alex & Zhenya, from a Russian orphanage. This past summer their family, along with the kids, came to my family's Fourth of July party! It was wonderful to see Alex and Zhenya fit right in with the Q family and enjoy the celebration with everyone. We are all looking forward with anticipation to the day when they come home and can be with us always! Please keep this precious family and their two children in Russia in your prayers. If you would like more info on how you can help, leave a comment and I'll get right back to you!
Much love in the Savior,
ashley eldredge
p.s. Enjoy the absolutely gorgeous day we've been blessed with!!

Guess What We Did!

We built a really amazing dog pen in our backyard this afternoon! Wesley and Molly love it. :) I will take pictures probably tomorrow so you all can see!

For Today...

... I Will

* clean and organize the office
* wash dishes and do laundry
* take Molly to the vet (for a checkup)
* go to Wal-Mart
* make macaroni and cheese for dinner!!! (don't worry, I typically make much healthier meals for my husband, but I've been wanting mac 'n cheese like crazy! and Joel said that was fine... just so ya know.)

Love you all, dear friends and family! Here's to having a very productive day :) And be sure to enjoy the gorgeous weather too!!

From Psalms 97 & 98

"The heavens proclaim His righteousness, and all the peoples see His glory." Do they see His glory through the way I live my life? "Sing to the Lord a new song, for He has done marvelous things." Renew your joy in the Savior!

Honeymoon in Branson

I have such a good lookin' hubby!

Breakfast burritos for dinner! And leftover fries from Fuddrucker's (the best burger place EVER)

Our condo was really nice... the couch pulled out into a bed and we could watch TV in the living room or the bedroom! We watched a lot of movies since we were both sick.

We went on a train ride all the way to Arkansas and back!!
The old folks aboard thought we were mighty cute together. ;)

Driving in Branson traffic was fun...

This was us on a walk while we were pretty sick. It makes me laugh now!

On the last day we finally made it to the lake. It was a beautiful day, and the water was actually pretty warm for October!

 This is my leg person.

And this is Joel's leg person.
Vote on whose is best, PLEASE! ;)

Love... lets the other win

Joel and I have been going through the "Love Dare" book, and oh my goodness is it an eye-opener!
Today's chapter was on laying down your rights and desires and letting the other person "win". It's a lot harder than it sounds at first! I'll just share some of my favorite sections from today's reading. :)

* The opposite of stubbornness - "willing". "It's an attitude and spirit of cooperation that should permeate our conversations."
* " 'Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus' (Phil. 2:5) - the attitude of willingness, flexibility, and humble submission. It means laying down for the good of others what you have the right to claim for yourself."
* "The wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield." (James 3:17)

New Baby

 Ta-Da! This is Molly.
Joel bought her for me on the way home from our honeymoon.

She is three months old, and very small.
Our other little dog, Wesley, likes her a lot, and they are really funny to watch play.

We hope to breed her someday and have more adorable little Mollies running around!
p.s. I gave her a haircut yesterday and you can see her eyes a little better now. ;)

The Very First

Hello everyone!
I finally got around to starting my new blog. :) I figured that since I just got married and moved into a new home, this would be a good time to begin! I am pretty random with blogging... you'll get pictures, quotes, stories of life, and side notes you'll wonder why I'm willing to share. Please leave comments when you feel compelled, because they encourage me to post more since I know someone is paying attention. :) Also let me know if you are getting bored and need a picture marathon or something!
My blog is a place for me to get out my thoughts and share little joys (or sorrows) from everyday life... I hope you enjoy.
Much Love,
* ashley eldredge *
